How does myBOX work?

You can store your items in 3 easy steps!

  1. After signing up for an account online, schedule a drop-off of empty boxes.

  2. The myBOX team will drop-off the durable plastic boxes at the scheduled time. We will wait up to 20 minutes while you pack your items or you can schedule a pick-up date within 2 weeks.

  3. Our team will move your boxes to our safe and secure storage facility.

When you want items back, sign into your account, select which boxes you need and when you need them, and we'll bring them right to your door!

What is myBOX's service area?

Our service area currently includes all of Seoul. We plan to expand to Gyeonggi-do in the near future.

What kind of items can I store?

You can store clothes, books, files, sporting equipment, seasonal items, etc. The possibilities are limitless as long as they don't exceed the box weight limit(25kg for the plastic containers, 15kg for the document box).

We ask that you do not store perishables, fragile items (or pack at your own risk), items with strong odor, flammable, explosive, or hazardous materials and/or illegal substances.

What are your hours of operation?

Our delivery pick-up/delivery hours are weekdays 10am to 11pm and Saturdays 10am to 3pm. We are closed on Sundays and national holidays.

Our customer service hours are weekdays from 10am to 6pm. If you need to reach us during off-hours, please e-mail us at help@my-box.kr and we will try to respond as soon as possible.

Where will my boxes be stored?

Our safe, secure storage facility is located in Seongnam-si, Gyeonggi-do. It is under 24-hour surveillance, temperature and humidity controlled, and fully insured.

For security reasons, we can not disclose the exact location of the storage facility.

May I access the storage facility?

For security reasons, only the myBOX team can access the facility.

Are my items insured?

While our team will make every effort to ensure that your items are safe, we do want you to know that each box comes with free insurance up to the value of KRW 100,000 during transit and storage.

However, we do not insure fragile items(glass, TVs). If you are storing these types of items, please make sure that they are wrapped carefully to prevent any incidents.

What does the insurance cover?

Our free insurance covers loss and damage to your items during transit and storage. It does not protect against natural disasters.

How do I file an insurance claim?

Send an e-mail to support@my-box.kr and we will help you with the claim. Please include the following information:

  • Full name on your account
  • Date of the return delivery
  • The barcode ID on the box containing damaged or missing items
  • List of items, type of damage, and value
  • Your contact information (phone/e-mail)

In the subject line, type "Insurance Claim."

We have had no claims thus far, so please be assured that the safety and security of your items are our highest priority!

What kind of security is at the storage facility?

Our storage facility is protected with ADT security system, 24-hour CCTV, temperature control, humidity control, and sprinkler systems. No one from the public can get in.

Who is the delivery team?

Each member of the myBOX delivery team goes through a thorough background check and training program to offer quality service. If you have any comments or complains about a member of our staff, please let us know at support@my-box.kr.

Will my boxes be opened?

myBOX will never open your boxes without your consent unless we are bound by legal requirements.

Are the boxes reusable?

Our boxes are made with commercial grade plastic that is strong enough to be reused. We ensure that each empty box is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected before being dropped-off.


Pricing / Billing

How much does it cost?

myBOX storage starts at KRW 6,000/document box, KRW 7,500/plastic container, and KRW 15,000/wardrobe box per month. There is no minimum quantity, and you can store your items for as little or long as you want.

Every time you order new boxes, you get one free drop-off and pick-up. Any additional pick-up after the first costs KRW 2,000. Return deliveries cost KRW 2,000/box.

Is there a minimum storage period?

There is no minimum storage period. However, we have a monthly billing cycle so the storage period will be rounded up to the nearest month.

Can I request pickup and delivery as much I want?

Absolutely. As long as you pick-up/delivery request by 5pm, we will come to you the next day!

What happens to the boxes I don't use?

If you are not sure how many boxes you will need, we recommend ordering extra, just in case. When the myBOX delivery team picks up the boxes, they will tally how many packed and empty boxes you have, and you will only be charged for the storage of the packed boxes.

Do you prorate refunds?

Storage is always charged monthly and is therefore rounded up to the nearest month.


Packing

How do I secure the boxes?

After packing your items, our team will give you tamper-proof fasteners at no extra cost. You can mark these fasteners with a permanent marker, which will ensure that we have not opened the boxes. (The fasteners apply to our plastic containers, and not the document boxes).

Is there a weight limit on the boxes?

Each plastic container has a maximum capacity of 25kg, and each document box has a maximum capactiy of 15kg.

Can I use my own boxes?

Absolutely.

Do you offer a packing service?

Unfortunately, we offer only drop-off, pick-up, and storage services.

Will you wait while I pack / unpack my boxes?

Our team will wait up to 20 minutes for you to pack/unpack your items.


Pickup & Delivery

I've received my empty boxes but decided not to use all of them. What happens?

No problem. Just schedule a pick-up and our team will collect the boxes from your home. There is an "empty box" pick-up fee of KRW 2,000. Please note that this fee does not apply to pick-ups that include both packed and empty boxes.

What happens if I don't schedule a pick-up within the 2 week packing period?

If you do not schedule a pick-up within two weeks of the initial drop-off, the billing cycle will automatically begin.

How do I label and photograph my boxes?

You can conveniently keep track of what's stored in each of your boxes by adding a description and taking a picture of its contents. Each box is assigned a unique barcode ID, so that you can check what items are in which box.

The myBOX delivery team is not here at their scheduled time, what do I do?

We're truly sorry about that. While we try our best to keep our appointments, unexpected traffic conditions or inclement weather may delay our team. Please e-mail us at support@my-box.kr and we will locate our driver and let you know his ETA.

How quickly can I get my delivery?

For drop-off, pick-up, and deliveries, the earliest you can schedule is for the next business day assuming the delivery time block is vacant and you place your request before 5pm.

For emergency situations, please contact us at support@my-box.kr and we will do our best to accomodate you.

Is is possible for my boxes to be picked up in multiple trips?

One free pick-up is included with each empty box drop-off. If you would like the boxes to be picked up in multiple trips, we charge a flat fee of KRW 2,000 per subsequent pick-up.

What happens if I'm not at home for an appointment?

Our team will wait for up to 20 minutes while trying to reach you. If you can't make it to your home within the 20 minutes, there will be a KRW 2,000 no-show fee.

What happens if I don't have an elevator?

For buildings without an elevator, we charge an extra delivery fee of KRW 500 per level per box.

What do I do if I can't unpack my storage boxes within 20 minutes?

If you cannot return the delivered boxes to us within 20 minutes, you will have to schedule a pick-up time for us to get the boxes. This pick-up will cost KRW 2,000.
